White Sauce (BEchamel Sauce)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons margarine or butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 Tablespoons all purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

Equipment:

  • Deep medium size skillet

  • Whisk

Directions:

  1. Place margarine salt and pepper into skillet and melt on medium low

  2. Add flour and whisk together to form a roux

  3. Add milk and whisk rapidly to remove all lumps

  4. Continue whisking until desired thickness has been reached

  5. Serve immediately over potatoes, biscuits or anything you would use a pepper gravy for
